Social Recreation is more than Games
Room activities. It
encourages and provides opportunities for fun, and
spontaneous,
informal, competitive, and creative play. The areas
where these skills and traits are learned are the
Games Room, Cadet Room and the Arts and Crafts Room. Contests,
low-organized games, skill-building activities, tournaments,
group and league play and
special events are some of the activities offered.

Torch Club is a small group of members
between the ages of 11 to 13 years of age. Through
Torch, members will learn how to develop character,
leadership traits, attitudes, and behaviors that will
help them become the best people they can. Torch
members will serve as hosts to Kips Bay, distribute
equipment in the games room and assist departments
in the club. Torch will also coordinate special
events and have the opportunity to give services to
the club and community.
Our Cadet Program is for members ages six to nine
years old. After completing homework each day,
Cadets travel throughout the clubhouse, taking part
in group activities. Parents may receive a daily
schedule from Cadet Program Coordinator, Valerie Reyes. Cadets
must be picked up by 7:00 p.m. for dismissal.
Specialized events and activities are organized for
Cadets throughout the year including:
Halloween Party
Thanksgiving Celebration
Christmas Talent Show
Christmas party
Valentine’s Day Party
Easter Egg Hunt/Celebration
Summer Cadet Carnival
