Scholars Luncheon

Will Reeve at 2025 Scholars Luncheon

On behalf of the Kips Bay Scholars Luncheon Event Co-Chairs Cynthia Coudert and Kathy Prounis, along with the members of the Scholars Program, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your support of this inaugural event.

On January 29th, 2025, the inaugural Kips Bay Scholars Luncheon was held at the esteemed Lotos Club in New York, marking a significant milestone in our mission to empower youth through education. This event celebrated the transformative work of the Kips Bay Scholars Program (KBSP), which addresses the challenges of high tuition costs and educational inequities by providing financial assistance, mentorship, and growth opportunities to low-income families and first-generation college students.

Guests at the luncheon heard inspiring testimonials from scholarship recipients whose academic and personal achievements embody the program's impact. Parents also shared their appreciation for the investment in their child’s education. Keynote speaker Will Reeve, an ABC News correspondent, shared his personal connection to Boys & Girls Clubs and the importance of supporting higher education. His presence highlighted the power of mentorship and opportunity in building brighter futures. With each scholarship awarded, Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club reinforces its commitment to investing in the future, fostering a community of scholars and leaders poised to make a difference.

Since 1915, Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club has focused on improving and enhancing the lives of New York City’s children who are economically, socially, or recreationally disadvantaged. Today, the Club is proudly one of the most prominent and responsive youth development agencies in New York City and the “flagship” of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. We couldn’t do it without your support.

Kips Bay remains a vital institution, and you help to continue the mission.
