The program at Throggs Neck Community Center is a DYCD funded COMPASS site. The afterschool program offers a variety of activities. Each day our members are greeted with a healthy snack. They then begin each afternoon with Power Hour.
This activity allows our members’ time to begin their homework, ask questions and receive assistance from group leaders or one of the certified teachers on staff for the program.
After Power Hour, members travel the building with their respective age groups participating in various activities. Once their activities are completed, the members are served a well-balanced hot meal.
